Director
Johnna Schumann:
I am Johnna Schumann and I am the proud director of St. Pius X Early Childhood Center. I have been the Director at the ECC since September 2005. My husband Michael & I are the proud parents of three terrific boys; Matthew, Dillon & Brandon, a daughter-in- law, Skylar, and a grandson, Cam… we are very blessed!!
I am originally from Bevier, MO. My parents are Charles & (the late) Viola Turner of Bevier. Michael’s parents are (the late) Charles & (the late) Rhonda Schumann of Moberly.
My staff is a wonderful group of people that bring their own unique gifts & talents to each and every room they work in. God has truly given me great teachers that TRULY love & care for ALL children!
It is a privilege to say that we are able to not only teach the children their basic age appropriate education but also the Word of God! The children learn Bible stories and prayers on a daily basis. I believe that through a faith-centered education, we recognize and honor the uniqueness of each child and prepare all of our children to meet the spiritual, academic and social challenges of a changing world.
I look forward to talking to anyone who is interested in attending our facility. We are open to ANYONE who is interested in joining our great ECC family.

Loveable Littles Room
Brandy Mauzey (Lead Teacher):
Hello!
My name is Brandy Mauzey and I am the Lead Baby Room teacher! I love this adventure!! I love watching them grow and being a part of them learning all of their “firsts” new things.
A little about myself… I am married to Chris and we have three beautiful children, Bethany, Colten & Braylee. I began at St. Pius X ECC in June of 2018. I was the Lead Three’s Room teacher. In Sept of 2019, I had my first child and decided to be a stay at home mommy. In February of 2022 Mrs. Johnna had a teacher opening in the baby room and I applied and began again as Baby Room Lead. I love being in the baby room and can’t wait to meet your little one and be your first class connection to St. Pius X Early Childhood Center.

Alexis Lutz Kramer (Part-time Co-teacher/Closer):
Hi! My name is Lexie Kramer. I am the co-teacher in the Baby Room.
I started St. Pius X ECC in 2023, with a few years’ experience in childcare before starting here. I have always loved working with kids, watching them learn, and grow.
I am from the Moberly area. I recently got married to my husband, Peyton, in 2025 and we have a dog named Lady.
We enjoy spending time with our family, being outdoors (one of our favorite spots being the Katy Trail), and being involved with our church. We attend Pleasant Woods Baptist Church in Salisbury, MO
Brynn Simmons (Part-time Co-teacher/Closer):
Hello! I am Brynn Simmons, I am the Baby Room closer.
During the day, I am a Middle School Language Arts Teacher at Renick.
My husband, Kody and I have two girls, Navy & Bryer.
I have worked at St. Pius X ECC since 2018 and I love being in the Baby Room! I am super excited for the school year to start!
Wild Ones Room
Hilary Knazik (Lead Teacher):
Hi, my names Hilary Ann (Almond) Knazik, and I am the Lead Teacher for the One’s Room at St. Pius X ECC. I started at SPX ECC in August 2016 and I love it.
I grew up on a farm in Purdin, MO. Graduated in 2006 from Linn County R-1. I then came to Moberly and attended MACC. After that I transferred to NCMC and also begin working at Stansbury’s uniforms in Brookfield and helped out on our family farm. I met my husband in September of 2011, we got married in September of 2012 and I moved
back to Moberly once again. I worked for the post office before taking a job at Ican Missouri Foundation. My husband Jared and I have a three daughters, Piper, Mya & Stella and we are members of St. Pius X Church, where I joined at Easter Vigil, March of 2016.
Sandy Aulbur (Co-teacher):
Hello my name is Sandy Aulbur. I am originally from Laddonia, Mo. and I live in Huntsville Mo. I attended school at Community R-6 in Laddonia Mo. and then went to Metro Business College in Jefferson City, MO.
I recently retired a year ago after 36 years with Columbia Surgical Associates Inc. in Columbia Mo. I have been married to Mike Aulbur for 35 years, who is the St. Pius X school principal. We have three children who have all went to St. Pius X Early Childhood Center and St. Pius X school before finishing high school at Westran. Our two sons, Tyler (who recently got engaged to Terra Helm) they both work at McKendree University in Lebanon, IL. Tyler is their all-teams strength and conditioning coach and Terra is the assistant women’s basketball coach. Jordan is at Montgomery City high school teaching science, and coaches’ football for special teams and assistant baseball. Our daughter, Alicia (also known as Mrs. Riles) teaches junior high math here at St. Pius X school, and is the 2nd grade aide and aftercare teacher. Alicia is married to Gregory Riles and has two sons (Lane and Alaric), who also attend here at ECC, as well as a baby on the way. With our St. Pius X connection, who is our second family, I was excited to be able work here. I love being at the St. Pius X Early Childhood Center, and working in the One’s Room, where I can give back. I love being able to be a part of helping them to grow and learn to reach their milestones in a fun loving faith base environment.
Too Cute Twos Room
Erilyn Turner (Lead Teacher):
Hello! My name is Erilyn Turner and I am the Lead Teacher of the Too Cute Twos Room as well as the Teacher in Charge in directors absents. I have been working at the ECC since September 2007 and obtained my Child Development Associates (CDA) in 2010.
I am originally from Clifton Hill, MO, but I now reside in Salisbury. My parents are Joel & Sheryl Land. I married Dustin Turner in 2010. We now are the proud parents of our two daughters, Gracelyn & Everly.
I am honored to work in the Two’s Room; they teach me something new every day and help me grow as an individual. I like to do the same for them. I help them try out new age appropriate challenges that will help them learn as they grow.
Marissa Gilmore (Co-teacher):
Hi, my name is Marissa Gilmore, and I am the Co-Teacher for the Twos Room at St. Pius X ECC. I started at SPX ECC in May 2023 and I love it.
I grew up in Pike County IL and moved here when I was 18 to go to Central Christian College of the Bible. Graduated in 2022 from CCCB. I married my husband of 5 years now and we decided to stay in Moberly. We have a daughter, Juliet, and a dog Elsie.
I love teaching and interacting with the littles, I love seeing their faces light up when they finally learn what we have been going over.
Terrific Threes Room
Kyra Campbell (Lead Teacher):
Hello! My name is Kyra Campbell and I’m the Lead Three’s Room teacher. I joined the SPX ECC in November of 2023 and have loved watching the kids grow and develop their own personalities.
I grew up in Huntsville and have settled in Moberly. My husband, Christopher, and I have two sweet kids, Infinitee and Aliahan. They both attend St. Pius X as well. We love the school and parish as a whole. I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of it.
If I’m not in the classroom you can find me out doing all of the sports/activities for my kids or home planning all of the fun things to do with yours!
I look forward to watching all of the kids grow and learn in these special years.
Kenlee Lewis & Bentley (Co-teacher/Closer):
Hi, my name is Kenlee Lewis and I’m 24, I am the baby of the family. I have a service dog named Bentley Lou, 1 sister and 1 brother and I also have 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
I have lived in Moberly Missouri most of my life. I have had epilepsy/seizures since I was 11 years old. I play Special Olympics basketball bowling and track. I also do Special Olympics College in the fall and spring.
I have worked at St. Pius X Early Childhood Center in the Two’s Room for 5 years and this year, I begun working in the Three’s Room! I absolutely love being here with the children. They are so amazing.
Fantastic Fours Room
Michealle Lipe (Lead Teacher/Day Opener):
Hello, I am Ms. Michealle!
I'm a graduate of Sturgeon High School in Sturgeon MO, year 2014. My parents, older sister, and I have lived in Missouri my whole life. I was married in October of 2023. My husband and I have a foster daughter that has been with us for two years now. I love spending time with my family and going to see my niece and 2 nephews. . I have been a part of the St. Pius X ECC family since 2019! My time here at SPX ECC has flown by and I have enjoyed all the memories I have made.
I have an associate degree in General education from MACC. I have plans in place to further my education in early childhood, this means going back to school to get my Bachelor’s degree in child studies!
Outside of the classroom you can usually find me spending time and spoiling my niece, nephews and foster daughter, spending time with my fur babies, reading a book, binge watching Netflix with a cozy blanket and popcorn, taking a walk in nature, crafting, taking spontaneous drives to see some historic sites or just visiting and having fun with my family!
Amber Martin (Co-teacher):
My name is Miss Amber Martin. I began here at St. Pius X ECC in 2020.
I grew up in the small town of Madison, Missouri, where I graduated in 2007. I received my Associate of Arts degree in Teaching from Moberly Area Community College in 2012, and in 2020, I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Christian Education at Central Christian College of the Bible.
I love to read Christian romance/suspense books and listen to music. Some of my favorite authors are Dee Henderson, Dani Pettrey, and Janice Cantore. My favorite artists include Brandon Lake, Zach Williams, Chris Tomlin and NeedtoBreath. I also enjoy spending time with my family, especially my mom, sister, nieces, and nephew!
I am very excited to be able to work with and get to know your children! I look forward to helping them grow!

Phenomenal Pre-K Room
David Lutz (Lead Teacher):
Hi! I am Mr. Lutz. I have been teaching for nearly 40 years, and teaching Pre-K has been my favorite grade level by far!
I love children and want their childhood to be amazing! I believe in treating children with the same respect and dignity afforded all human beings.
The children at St. Pius X ECC are amazing little human beings. If you hear your child repeating any odd expressions, idioms, or sayings… that’s all my fault! LOL
Day Opener
Amanda Brown (Opener):
Hey guys, I’m Amanda Brown! I’m one of the part time teachers here at St. Pius X ECC. Full time, I am a Community Health Worker. During my spare time I am the Youth Minister for SPX Church, and a familiar face at MACC Greyhound basketball games. I’m always on the go, but never too busy to try a new dessert (I have a serious sweet tooth!). When I’m not working or helping out around the church, you’ll find me exploring and traveling new places (my most recent adventure was a solo trip to Tennessee,) loving on my cat Baby, or soaking up time with my favorite people.
